Received his BS degrees in Surveying Engineering from KNT University of Technology, Iran, his MEng degree in Geomatics Engineering from Uiversity of New Brunswick, Canada, and his PhD in Geospatial Information System (GIS) Engineering from Calgary University, Alberta, Canada in 1997. From 1995 to 1997 he was a Research Assistant/Teaching Assistant at Department of Geomatics, University of Calgary, Canada. From 1997 to 1999 he worked as a Product Manager at MRF Geosystems Corporation, Calgary, Canada. Since July 1999, he has joined KNT University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. He is currently an Associate Professor of the Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering Department at KNT University of Technology . He has been the initiator and director of national and international level projects in the context of GIS and Iran’s National ICT Development Plan. Dr. Alesheikh has received numerous awards and honors for his industrial, scientific and academic contributions. He has acted as chairman in a number of national and international conferences.
