Three hours of lectures, One hour of discussion per week.
Course Materials and Topics:
1- Fundamentals of Optimal Control. (Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) for continuous time systems: 1- Finite Time, 2-Infinite Horizon)
2- Fundamentals of Optimal Control. (Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) for discrete time systems: 1- Finite Time, 2-Infinite Horizon)
3- Probability, Random Variables and Processes. (Probability Density/Distribution Functions(PDF), joint PDFs, Expected Values, Covariances, Bayes Rule,...)
4- Estimation Theory. (Minimum Least-Square Principle, Maximum Likelihood, Bayesian Estimation, ...)
5- Stochastic Dynamical Processes. (Mean-Value and Co-variance of Dynamical Linear Processes, ...)
6- Optimal Filtering of Dynamical Systems (Discrete Time KALMAN Filtering, Continuous Time KALMAN Filtering).
7- Linear Quadratic Gaussian, LQG (Optimal Filtering and Control systems of Gaussian Noises and Disturbances).
