- Abstract
Energy production is a major concern for developing countries; specifically for Iran. One of the potentially available source of green energy in the south borders of the country, is tidal energy. Some researches was carried on before for energy harvesting in that area and the main aim of the present work is to optimize the previously designed methods. In the previous design, location of the Green battery for installing the power plant has been fully discussed, and it was shown that Mahshahr port is the best location for installing the plant. Since the civil cost of the previous design was too much, in the present study it is going to reduce the costs by substituting artificial lagoons presented before by Ghazaleh estuary. So the current plan is to design a green battery in addition to the above, attempts to solve the problems of previous scheme. After determining the proper fit, implement and the necessary calculations to predict plant performance and output power is done. By writing code in C ++ programming language with parameters that may affect the power output of the plant, the optimal situation for plant is designed. Finally, cost analysis, economic feasibility and implementation tidal power plant with two green batteries is compared.Faculty of Mechanical Eng. of K. N. Toosi University of Technology
