Currently Taught Courses
Undergraduate:
- Biomaterials: This course introduces biomaterials science, including interactions between materials and biological systems. Key topics include biocompatibility, bioactivity, biodegradation, tissue engineering scaffolds, controlled drug delivery systems, and different types of biomaterials (metals, ceramics, polymers, and composites).
- Corrosion and Protection of Materials: The course covers the fundamentals of chemical and electrochemical corrosion of metals and alloys, corrosion monitoring techniques, and modern methods for corrosion prevention and protection.
- Non-Ferrous Alloys: The course presents the classification, processing, structure, properties, and applications of aluminum, copper, titanium, magnesium, and nickel alloys.
- Scientific and Technical Communication: Students learn the principles of scientific research, literature review, effective scientific writing, and oral presentation skills.
Graduate:
- Biomaterials: This advanced course focuses on the design, fabrication, and characterization of modern biomaterials. Emphasis is placed on bioactive ceramics, biopolymer nanocomposites, surface modification of implants, and 3D printing for biomedical applications.
- Research Methods in Materials Science and Engineering: This course develops essential research skills, including literature review, experimental design, data analysis, statistical methods, and scientific writing.
