Design and Manufacturing of a Laboratory Robotic Working Cell
Increasing demands for high quality products, has motivated investigation of exploiting robotic production cells. Various ARAS projects were defined in late 1990's, to establish a casting robotic cell. As a prototype, a laboratory robotic cell designed to illustrate the integration of five different automatic components of a production line working together. The integrity of robotic handling system, flexible conveying system, Quality control unit and grading system is controlled with an IPC, while a user friendly software developed for the system. This robotic cell consists of :
• A 4 DOF robot
• A 5 DOF robot
• A quality control arm
• An indexing table
• A flexible conveyer
• A grading station
